On February 8, 2018, we kicked off our 6th annual FUSE event which was nothing short of amazing. Hosted at the beautiful Hilton Orlando, we welcomed all of our customers and partners for two days filled with meaningful, interactive sessions and a lot of fun. Based on the excitement and dialogue shared throughout the conference, there is no doubt that 2018 will be the most superlative year to come.

Fuse 2018 kicked off with a keynote by our CEO and Founder, Pranam Ben, who tied together two very different concepts – origami and population health – with a similar underlying theme - "Origami is about folding paper using connections that other people don't realize while pop health is about innovating by connecting data in ways that other systems don't realize". In Platform Roadmap, our Chief Platform Officer, Jessica Robinson addressed all of the innovative features currently available in Bridge followed with our unveiling of Bridge 5.x in Platform Updates, which infuses AI into our already robust platform. We wrapped up our morning with an enthusiastic presentation from our partners at BioReference Laboratories which was inspiring to all that attended.

After such a successful morning, we started the second half with one of our favorites, Garage Tank. This year’s topic was “What idea or solution from the healthcare industry would you recommend to any other industry to adopt and why?”. Many thanks to our judges for the “constructive” feedback and our clients for making Garage Tank one for the history books. The winners, who utilized a blockchain technology to improve the restaurant industry to better understand their customers and their preferences, won a donation to a non-profit of their choice – this year’s recipient being Girls on the Run. Diane Blackburn from Prime ACO presented a Case Study highlighting the challenges they have been able to overcome in working with The Garage and Bridge. We closed Day 1 with our CEO Chat, hosted by our partners, Dodge Communications, where Pranam was able to provide insight into our culture and personality.

We topped off Thursday’s conference portion by inviting our attendees to join us for dinner at David’s Club and for a fun event at Universal Studios. The event was a huge hit, for who doesn’t love experiencing the vibrant, theatrical and artistic abilities of the Blue Man Group. We truly FUSED that day together. Day two of Fuse, a first for this event, played right off the momentum from the prior day. First up, was our guest speaker, Randy Cook, whose perspective of the industry and application of data analysis in population health was well received by our guests. That was followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring industry heavyweights who weighed in on topics like Artificial Intelligence, Risk Modeling in Value Based Medicine, Patient Engagement, and What’s to come for 2018.

Reflecting back, FUSE 2018 was a success on appreciating the business partnerships we have. Many thanks to our clients and partners for their contributions this year and for making FUSE 2018 the best attended FUSE yet. You are the real MVPs. Cheers to another great year and many, many more to come!
